Responsibilities: We seek an
Application Engineer (Business Development) to support our sales team and drive client relations to promote and sell our advanced conductor product. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an engineering consulting firm, designing high-voltage transmission lines, or working with developers or utilities. The candidate must be passionate about working in both a technical and business development role.
- Provide expert technical assistance and insights to the sales team to present and sell our advanced conductor effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping to identify their needs and providing tailored solutions for their high-voltage transmission projects.
- Utilize PLS-CADD to design and model high-voltage transmission systems and demonstrate the value of our advanced conductors to clients.
- Lead technical presentations, webinars, and other client-facing communications to showcase our product and its benefits effectively.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying new market opportunities, developing proposals, and negotiating.
- Attend industry conferences, meetings, and site visits to support client relationships, further market our product, and stay up to date on industry trends.
- Manage your projects and timelines while working autonomously to meet team goals and client needs.
- Grow within the company, advancing into engineering sales and business development as you develop your skills and experience.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) is required. Master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering consulting firm, developer, or utility, with a focus on high-voltage transmission line design.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and experience designing high-voltage transmission lines.
- Strong understanding of power systems engineering and transmission infrastructure.
- Experience in sales support, client relations, or business development within a technical environment.
- Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and willing to work independently to achieve business goals.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- A passion for grid resilience and a desire to help drive the acceleration of the clean energy transition.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 + Bonus + Equity
Travel: Yes, 25% of the time.
