As a key member of Electronic System Services, Inc. (ESSI), the BAS Application Engineer will be responsible for the turnkey design development and execution of all application engineering for HVAC automation projects. This role involves producing essential engineering drawings and documentation to ensure the seamless integration and implementation of building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Review & Scope Breakdown: Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to establish the project's intent. Break down the scope of work into manageable segments and communicate with the Project Manager and team for scheduling through turnover meetings.
  • End-User Interface Design: Attend or receive meeting minutes from customer project team meetings to design and determine the end-user graphical interface.
  • RFI & Coordination: Develop project-specific "Request for Information" (RFI) documentation, working closely with the Project Manager to clarify project scope and specifications.
  • Sequence of Operations: Follow the schedule of requirements and engineered sequences of operation, utilizing established standards to produce project submittal packages.
  • As-Built Documentation: Produce as-built drawings based on initial construction drawings and field modification mark-ups to ensure accurate project records.
  • Engineering & Programming Standards: Collaborate in the establishment and enforcement of engineering and programming standards to maintain consistency across projects.
  • Quality & Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest quality of work and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Tridium and Alerton .
  • Understanding of mechanical HVAC equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical and network wiring .
  • Understanding of standard BAS components and programming of these components .
  • Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products (Word, Excel, Access). We would like you to have some AutoCAD, Visual Basic, Visio and Alerton/Tridium product experience .
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • You must have a valid driver's license from the State of Florida
  • Able to pass background check
  • Able to satisfy requirements outlined in company "Drug Free Workplace Policy"
