Job Description:
What You'll Do
- Oversee the design and implementation of assigned products, taking ideas from user stories to production independently.
- Manage and escalate risk and customer-impact issues to management.
How You'll Do It
- Analyze, design, code, test, and deploy new features with high quality, understanding the software development lifecycle and applying critical thinking.
- Mentor early-career engineers, guiding their growth in technical skills.
- Guide application, system, and architecture design decisions to achieve key results.
- Address issues using engineering principles and develop proactive design solutions for high reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet commitments and contribute to technology communities of practice.
- Establish and enforce IT standards within the system and platform architecture.
Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in IT or software engineering.
- Internal applicants: proficiency level on the Dreyfus Engineering scale.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience building Java applications, working with REST APIs, and in global, scaled tech organizations.
- Experience with Agile teams, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred), and OCP.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
These include remaining stationary, indoor work, operating office equipment, and communication abilities. No travel required.
