Application Engineer

Role

The individual will report directly to the CTO and independently own key projects from inception to production. This is an opportunity to join a lean team and have immediate personal impact while learning from industry experts in Technology, Trading, Risk, and many other specializations. Responsibilities:

Own the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of new software applications in close collaboration with Atom's leadership team

Drive tangible impact through a technology-enabled understanding of usage metrics and user activation

Master the science of presenting complex data analysis using intuitive, user-friendly visualization techniques

Grow your software development skills using Functional and Object-Oriented principles

Work as part of an engineering team to enhance and further optimize a sophisticated suite of complex software systems

Ideal Candidate

2+ years professional software engineering experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

Experience with Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages

Experience in modern front-end technologies

Experience with API design and development

Understanding of software engineering best practices

Ability to articulate complexity in linear, digestible, audience-appropriate language

Salary and compensation will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, and qualifications. Compensation includes base salary, discretionary bonus, and other forms of benefits including healthcare, 401k matching, and other benefits.
