This is a REMOTE position, which requires travel
Candidate can be based in U.S. or Canada, but must have legal to work in US (e.g. dual citizenship, us citizenship, perm resident, GC, ETC) NO Visa or Visa transfers etc
To be considered for this position the Candidate MUST HAVE:
- BSEE
- Experience with 3 phase power systems in the Utilities and Industrial Market
- Experience within excitation systems or rotating equipment
- Will consider candidates who have experience with static frequency converters as well
- This position facilitates in the sales process by promoting and providing application engineering support of Companys products to potential and existing customers.
- Candidate needs to have experience and a background in selling to a power plant, Hydro, etc.
- Candidate needs to know where voltage goes, genset goes, Regulators, etc
- Minimum five years experience as Application Specialist / Engineer
- Working knowledge of generating power systems and analog and digital circuitry is a must
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of time in assigned sales territories.
Responsibilities include:
Assist customers in the proper selection of Company products as they relate to systems as well as to discrete components.
Assist customers in the application, installation, start up, calibration, troubleshooting, and problem solving of Company products and related systems.
Travel, as required, to determine product potentials and customer needs and assist in the sale of products and systems.
Maintain proper communication with all sales territories to ensure systems application assistance is provided as may be required in sales plans.
Present Company products, systems, and problem solutions to customers at conferences as scheduled by sales personnel.
Assist in promotion activities including product literature reviews and industry functions such as trade shows, technical conferences, and schools.
Actively participate in interfacing and communicating with marketing personnel and project teams to provide market feedback for successful product specifications and development.
Survey and define market needs.
Assist in market research and competitive information collection, as required.
Present technical papers at industry conferences, as required.
Assist in creating sales tools including application notes.
Lead other application specialists in daily activities.
