This is a great opportunity to join us as an Application Development Engineer - Supply Chain Systems. In this role you will be responsible for the overall functional/technical configuration, design, develop, test and integration of Manhattan WMS system with MHE systems.
This role serves as a liaison between the Supply Chain business, DC Operations teams and IT.
This job requires working out of our Burlington, NJ office on a hybrid schedule.
A Day In The Life - Assists in Transforming requirements into software design and/or configuration
- Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps the program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
- Designs user interfaces between WMS and external systems to accomplish goals of user request
- Analyzes and improve supply chain data, and processes
- Configures, tests, troubleshoots, and implement Manhattan software applications. (primary: WMS- SCPP2018, LMS)
- Modifies application configuration including MHE communication and existing process to identify and increase operational efficiency or to satisfy new requirements.
- Analyze java logs and C logs
- Unix scripting, python is an advantage
- Develop stored procedure, sqls , as required (must be proficient) not limited to tuning existing SQLs or code.
- Experience in database structure, creating alert and monitoring tools and able to analyze system and db logs to discover system issues. Work on performance tuning as applicable.
- Writes documentation to describe functional design and logic.
- Provide support for WMS-SCPP2018 and other ancillary warehouse applications including MHE, WES; fix minor and major issues as they arise.
- Works closely with business to provide short-term workarounds and long-term solutions to production problems
- Assists in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners and vendors
- Leads projects of medium -large size and complexity - providing direction to project team members on issues of technology, implementation and support.
- Follows the SDLC and SOX, Regulatory, and Security best practices to ensure quality and timely delivery.
To Be Successful You Should Possess - 5 or more strong understanding of supply chain principles with expertise in Warehouse Management Processes
- 5 or more years of experience in Manhattan WM Open Systems (WMS 2018 or higher) required including end-to-end functional knowledge in implementing
- Expertise in Configuration and different Functional areas of WMS and LMS - like inbound, outbound etc.,
- 2 + years of Experience in Integrating Manh WMS system with Host ERP, external Reporting, TMS/YMS and MHE Systems
- Any experience in Manh WM Active version and other Manh products like LM, TMS and SCI will be an added advantage
- Good oral and written skills. May train others in functional area and interact with others across the company and/or externally. May make presentations to department or management.
