Application Developer Technical Lead
Job Description:
Application Developer Technical Lead positions offered by Fisher Asset Management, LLC (Tampa, Florida). Lead development of internal and third-party software solutions to meet business needs. Utilize advanced expertise to serve as a technical lead and lead technical projects, including project planning, design and oversight of project participants. Manage the technical development of software from inception through user acceptance stages for medium- to large-scale projects. Design steps and modules, define timelines, and identify and resolve issue. Participate in architectural decisions as appropriate. Present options and work with Project Management to set client expectations, including senior management. Serve as liaison to multiple groups: Business Representatives, Product Owners, QA, Infrastructure, PMO, Release Management, Information Security, and the Service Desk. Define Technical Design Specifications. Oversee research into external software solutions and play a key role in final selection of vendors. Supervise pre-sales cycle with vendors, creating logic flow charts and process diagrams. Create and modify code to meet specifications. Manage solution testing and debugging work. Oversee resolution of user issues. Propose modifications to software development standards and methodology, and ensure standards and methodology are executed. Support production software.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience developing software for enterprise environment. Also requires 6 years of experience: utilizing object-oriented programing languages and relational databases; developing enterprise applications; and developing using MS SQL Server, SSIS, MS Dynamics, Kingsway, and Relational database design. Requires 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry. Position reports to Tampa, FL office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
