CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Microsoft .NET Stack opening for our client in Philadelphia, PA. Location: Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE
Duration: 7 months
Duties: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Implement cloud-native solutions using Azure Function Apps, especially with durable functions.
- Utilize Azure services including Application Insights, Key Vault, Storage Account, API Management, and App Registration.
- Develop and manage APIs using Open API specifications and RESTful services.
- Integrate solutions with Kafka for efficient messaging and data streaming.
- Follow secure development practices and ensure code security and compliance.
- Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) using .NET unit testing frameworks such as MoQ.
- Monitor application performance and telemetry proactively using Azure Application Insights.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
- Employ Dependency Injection and maintain loosely coupled architecture.
Skills: - Proficiency in C (.NET and .NET Core)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Function Apps (Durable Functions preferred)
- Knowledge of Application Insights, Key Vault, Storage Account, and API Management
- Experience in integrating with Kafka
- Strong understanding of JSON, RESTful APIs, and Open API specifications
- GitHub for version control
- Experience in DevOps environments with CI/CD
- Familiarity with secure development practices
- Effective use of Dependency Injection frameworks
- TDD using .NET Unit Testing and MoQ frameworks
- Performance and telemetry monitoring using Azure Application Insights
Experience: - Proven track record of application development using Microsoft .NET stack
- Prior experience working in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure
- Demonstrated experience in DevOps and agile methodologies
- Background in building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based applications
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
