The State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Information Technology (DIT) has an opening for an Information Technology Specialist I in the Business Operations Support Branch. The position location is 1001 I Street, 8 th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Duties:

Under administrative direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II) and consistent with good customer service practice and the goals of the State and Regional Board's Strategic Plan, the incumbent will act as a technical lead, providing software and programming support to integrate existing water rights, water diversions, and water quality data with integrated statewide water data platforms and provide application support for agency enterprise web systems. The incumbent works independently and leads in planning and coordinating activities that require developing technological solutions for complex business, scientific, or engineering problems.

The technologies used in the agency's web application systems include Java EE, ASP.Net, C , MVC framework, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Java Server Pages, Java Server Faces, Hibernate, Angular, Node.js, REST architecture, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), ArcGIS, JavaScript API, Enterprise Java Beans, IIS, Tomcat, Web Services, MSSQL, Oracle, Azure cloud services, Software as a Service (SaaS), Red Hat Linux (RHL) and Windows Server.

Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.
