CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Cloud opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Phoenix, AZ-onsite

Duration: Ongoing Contract

Local Candidates only, Face to face interview required

W2 only

Duties:
  • Own all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
  • Participate in the design and development of systems and application programs.
  • Function as a senior member of an Agile team and help drive consistent development practices including tools, common components, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage technical requirements.
  • Architect and implement observability pipelines for various AWS services such as EKS, SQS, and Firehose.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural decision records (ADRs), and runbooks.
Skills:
  • Must have experience with EKS Clusters in AWS.
  • Proficient in AWS, Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN), Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Linux, Python, Shell scripting, and Splunk.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry and configuration of OpenTelemetry Collectors.
  • In-depth experience configuring and administering EKS clusters in AWS.
  • Experience with implementing comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions in AWS using CloudWatch.
  • Skilled in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell and/or Python.
  • Proficient in working with large-scale distributed systems and architecture, including Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, networking, and storage in cloud or traditional IT infrastructure environments.
  • Solid understanding of core cloud concepts: storage, compute, and networking.
  • Experience with code build and deployment using GitHub Actions and Artifact Registry.
Experience:
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams in a cloud-native development environment.
  • Experience developing scalable, observable, and secure applications on AWS.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members in best practices and development standards.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
