Position Overview Supports the Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations J6 located at Fort Belvoir. The duty location for the position is off-site. The DLA Enterprise relies on the Advanced Acquisition Analytics (AAA) Dashboard to identify the best candidate items for long-term contract (LTC) coverage, develop groupings of those items based on DLA's transaction history and coded source information, prioritize those groupings based on impact to DLA's costs, and track those built groupings through the LTC process. The tools are used by hundreds of simultaneous users across DLA, and the tools' data must be sourced from DLA's approved data tables / sources via Agency approved methods. The primary objective is to sustain, program, and project manage an environment to host the DLA Land and Maritime and DLA Aviation systems Acquisition Analytics (AAA) Dashboard to a government-based infrastructure consisting of Microsoft SQL servers with the MEAN stack, which is composed of MongoDB, Express.js, Angular and Node.js, the four technologies that make up the layers of the stack. The contractor will assist in the deployment and sustainment of the DLA-owned AAA Dashboard at the DLA Enterprise level, utilizing government-designated infrastructure consisting of Microsoft SQL Servers and MEAN stack. Responsibilities Provides all activities related to the administration of database schemas and their objects.
Projects long range requirements for database schema administration and design in conjunction with Infrastructure DBAs in the information systems function.
Designs, creates, and maintains databases schemas in a client/server environment.
Conducts quality control and auditing of database schemas in a client/server environment to
ensure accurate and appropriate use of data and permissions.
Advises users on access to various client/server databases.
Designs, implements, and maintains complex database schema objects with respect
to user requirements, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization,
protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front
end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
Performs database programming and supports systems design. Required Experience/Qualifications Education: Certification: IAT Level II or 8140.03 equivalent certification(s) - CompTIA Security+ (Must have copy for Proposal).
Certification: MongoDB Certified DBA (Must have copy for Proposal)
Five (5) years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
At least three years' hands-on experience and expertise in Database Schema management.
Experience also shall include the capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
Has experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Supported the U.S. Army or other DoD Agency.
Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Security Clearanc e: Secret. Must possess (Formerly IT-II) Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance and Tier 3 investigation (T3) at time of proposal submission.
