Zipliens is a leading lien resolution company that specializes in streamlining the lien process for personal injury law firms.

We are looking for a hands-on Application Architect to join our team building the next generation of applications for the legal industry. At the present time, the Zipliens engineering team is responsible for task workflows for the operations teams, automated communications strategies, transparency to the client through a client portal, data ingestion, and more. After years of lessons learned, we are starting the buildout of our next generation of tools. We are looking for an architect to join the team tackling a variety of issues including but not limited to: large data set collection and processing, machine learning applications for large data sets, splitting and reworking applications for scale, user interfaces built for optimal customer experience, and optimizing staff workloads through smart automation.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable architectures for efficient data collection, storage, processing, and performance optimization, including reworking and splitting applications as needed.
  • Design architectures that enhance customer and internal user experience by prioritizing stability, performance, and speed of development.
  • Actively participate in development, writing and reviewing code, with strong software engineering expertise.
  • Lead the buildout of new tools to support next-generation applications.
  • Define and drive the long-term architectural vision, ensuring system evolution aligns with future business and technical needs.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, align architecture with business goals, ensure feasibility, and prioritize development efforts.
  • Ensure architectural decisions incorporate security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Recommend and implement smart automation solutions to streamline internal workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years in a senior software development or application architecture role.
  • Strong understanding of data storage mediums, their use cases, and when to apply each.
  • Experience designing and architecting scalable systems using cloud services.
  • Proficiency in React for frontend development.
  • Strong experience with a web-based backend framework (Python/Django preferred).
  • Experience building applications that handle and process sensitive data.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices and how to apply them at each architectural level.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on-site at least three days per week (60%) in our Spring Hill, TN office - strongly preferred.

Pay Disclosure: In the states of CA, CO, CT, NV, NY, RI, WA, the total base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $155,000 annually, with opportunity for a quarterly discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on skills and experience.
