Job Description

As an ApplicationArchitect in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), youll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.
Responsibilities
- Building Cloud Native Services using REST APIs, Microservices based architectures, and containerized technologies
- Directly involve in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services (AWS), including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Building in high-scale distributed systems and fault tolerant design
- Develop the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments
- Continuously improve efficiency by optimizing existing application architecture and processes including externally and internally developed applications.
- Collaborate with multiple build teams and/or Center of Excellence around best practices, reducing technical debt and alignment to established architectural standards.
- Document and visualize application architecture, ensuring alignment with standards.
- Lead working sessions to create architecture recommendations with diverse stakeholders and create architecture and design recommendations.
- Evaluating Fit for purpose to drive Build vs. Buy decisions suitability to custom application development for new business demand and/or platform affinity.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:
Required
- Bachelors degree with 7+, Masters degree with 6+, and PhD with 2+years of solid, diverse work experience in IT and Life Science R&D.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess strong hands-on programming experience in one or more development languages including C , Java, or Python.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.
- A passion for learning and staying ahead of the curve with cutting-edge technologies.
- A desire to translate real-world business problems into effective technical solutions.
Beneficial
- Experience with GxP applications.
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Technology certifications are strongly preferred
