About the Role
  • We are seeking a Data Architect to join our Cybersecurity team.
  • This role focuses on building a robust data architecture that leverages log data and integrates it into a Common Information Model for use across the enterprise.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data provisioning, and data management within a complex data environment.
Responsibilities
  • Define, create, and enhance data models to meet operational and reporting needs for specific domains.
  • Collaborate with various business lines to map business processes to data models.
  • Analyze and define data requirements, and design logical and physical data structures to support these requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise data movement, quality, and accountability standards.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to optimize data provisioning patterns across applications.
  • Independently conduct quantitative analytics and assist in developing new models and analytic processes.
  • Perform current state data architecture and tooling assessments across all data domains supported by control functions.
  • Design conceptual structures and plans to meet current and future state data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic business data model and align it with other business models.
  • Define and maintain the blueprint for managing data assets, mapping relationships between data, processes, business, systems, and technology.
  • Assist in establishing capabilities framework for various data tools.
Required Skill
  • 3-5 years of experience in relational and dimensional data modeling, as well as metadata build and management.
  • Expertise in relational and NOSQL database systems, with strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Thorough understanding of real-time, batch, and event-based data provisioning.
  • Experience in ETL and API-based data provisioning patterns.
  • Proficient in communication tools like Vision and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly assemble presentations.
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience in handling large datasets, conducting analysis, and presenting findings.
  • 3+ years of experience as a data architect in a complex data environment.
  • Domain knowledge of data domains supported by control functions (e.g., Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, etc.) and experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with architecture and design of large-scale shared data solutions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Hands-on design and implementation experience with data tools such as Python, Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Teradata, Splunk, Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, Tableau, and Microstrategy.
  • Strong knowledge of database modeling principles, techniques, and enterprise data management best practices.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance processes, including identifying critical data elements, metadata, data lineage, and data management standards.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Data Quality measurements, control, remediation, and data reconciliation techniques.
  • Ability to independently architect solutions, lead code reviews, and ensure quality throughout project lifecycles.
