CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect Customer & Experience Transformation for our client in Chicago, IL.

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 7 months

Duties:
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of customer and experience transformation initiatives.
  • Architect scalable, component-driven front-end solutions within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Collaborate with design, development, and business teams to implement and maintain enterprise design systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration of design systems with tools such as Figma and Storybook.
  • Develop and enforce front-end standards, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.
  • Build and maintain pixel-perfect, reusable components using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
  • Customize and extend AEM Sites components, templates, and client libraries.
  • Participate in UI-related CI/CD pipeline configuration and support automated testing strategies.
Skills:
  • Proven experience implementing design systems within AEM using modern frameworks (React preferred, Vue, Angular).
  • Deep understanding of component-driven development and atomic design principles.
  • Proficient with enterprise UI libraries such as Tailwind CSS, Material UI (MUI), or Adobe Spectrum.
  • Strong integration skills with Figma and Storybook.
  • Expertise in building editable AEM templates and HTL/Sightly components.
  • Ability to deliver accessible, responsive, and high-fidelity UI components.
  • Familiar with Git, CI/CD processes, and UI automated testing.
Experience:
  • 8+ years of front-end/UI development experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a UI architecture role with a focus on design systems and enterprise platforms like AEM.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00/hour to $95.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
