until filled I. General Description:

To facilitate and maintain efficiency and accuracy in the District student information
system; to assist the Student Information Specialist with the management all processes
involved in the integration of District and State information through SAIS; to assist
district personnel in the full utilization of district information systems through direct
assistance and training.

II. Qualifications:
1. Must possess a high school diploma.
2. Must have three years of experience with SMS (Student Management System), and
be familiar with the Macintosh platform.
3. Must have two years of experience with AzEDS reporting and the applicable policies
and procedures.
4. Must have skills necessary for organization and presentation of training sessions and
preparation of training guides.
5. Must have two years of experience maintaining database applications and underlying
data structures.
6. Must have a general working knowledge of programming concepts and the ability to
create interactive client-side data reporting tools.
7. Must have ability to provide technical support and explain technical information to end-
users.
8. Must have excellent personal relations and communication skills. Ability to develop
positive working relationships with district staff, technical support staff, and state
officials.
9. Working knowledge of SIF (School Interoperability Framework) client agent and server
configuration, and 3rd-party rostering systems strongly desired.

III. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversees all aspects of the District student information system data files, performs
year-end rollover and set up of new year, performs data operations such as transfers,
backups, reports, and queries as needed.
2. Implements/develops new components and capabilities for student information
system.
3. Develop and publish front office standards and procedures related to state-reporting
guidelines.
4. Lead training of front office staff on state-reporting guidelines and procedures through
monthly professional development meetings and perform monthly audits at sites to
ensure guidelines are being met.
5. Keeps track of student information system changes and upgrades, and dispenses
information to staff as needed.
6. Attends training as needed.
7. Maintain data structures for integration with Clever, OneRoster, IEPpro, and other
rostering systems.
8. Work with 3rd party vendors to develop new sync modules, scripts, and processes
including identifying new fields for synchronizations, as needed by various systems.
9. Maintains all MsSQL and Oracle database applications and functions.
10.Ensure nightly synchronizations occur by monitoring log files and data extractions for
accuracy.
11.Troubleshoot sync errors by working with System Administrator and 3rd party vendors
as needed.
12.Install, configure, and maintain new software for the purpose of compatibility testing
with existing hardware, software, and network applications and configurations.
13.Develop annual Master Scheduling guidelines to ensure instructional minutes are
being met, to provide accurate assessment data, and accurate section data to be
integrated with 3rd party processes and systems.
14.Train principals and assistant principals on Master Scheduling procedures and
oversee the scheduling process to ensure guidelines are being met.
15.Participate in ADE provided training and ASCUS meetings and trainings to ensure
accurate and current knowledge of reporting guidelines and procedures.
16.Performs other related duties as assigned.
