ROLE SUMMARY:

The Apparel Retail Sales Team Lead is pivotal in driving brand standards and enhancing the employee experience within the store. Collaborating closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead acts as the in-store expert for their department. They are committed to providing top-notch service to customers while guiding and inspiring fellow teammates. Key characteristics include empathy, resilience, optimism, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Supports in building a strong team through participation in store interviews and departmental tours.
  • Cultivates a people-first culture by connecting with each teammate to foster trust, respect, and a strong store recognition atmosphere.
  • Plans and organizes effectively, preparing 30 days in advance with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure daily assignments, projects, and store events are well-executed.
  • Strategically utilizes team members to meet brand standards and ensure that daily tasks and programs are efficiently delegated.
  • Maintains company merchandising standards through adherence to floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory presentation.
  • Assists store leadership with general supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supports the training of teammates on company protocols, including onboarding new hires and cross-training existing staff.
  • Emphasizes coaching and personal development for self and others, explaining the reasoning behind various tasks and procedures.
  • Leads by example, aligning team responsibilities with the organization's vision and delivering an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Fosters an inclusive environment where teammates and customers feel respected and safe.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and operational policies; maintains confidentiality of company information.
  • Embraces an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across various store functions.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. repeatedly (up to 25 times per hour).
  • Ability to work for extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
  • Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifting devices.
  • Capable of performing repetitive motions for short durations (up to 2 hours continuously).
Targeted Pay Range: $15.50 - $23.50. Starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and specific position offered. Actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location.
