Summary: The Application Administrator II utilizes various technologies to provide support to the organization through the customization and configuration of the Salesforce Platform. This role is responsible for owning and executing the day to day configuration, reporting, support, maintenance and overall improvement of the Service and Sales Cloud platform.
This role will be expected to proactively monitor health of the Salesforce orgs, support platform and third-party updates, and provide support for software solutions to meet business objectives. This role will also keep current with Salesforce technology through research and working to attain relevant certifications. Requires an individual that is self-motivated, detail oriented, and responsible.
Essential Job Functions may include: - Manage operational requests and reporting and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop technical documentation and provide training and support to business partners.
- Build custom reports, dashboards, and workflows, functions and configurations.
- Develop workflow rules, validation rules, formula fields and escalation rules.
- Manage Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups
- Manage data feeds into and out of SFDC.
- Ensuring security processes and procedures are met, as well as performing routine health-checks
- Ensuring optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products
- Maintaining the Sales and Service Cloud, as well as building custom reports and dashboards
- Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing
- Automate tasks and processes in Salesforce using tools such as flows, approval processes, and validation rules
- Evaluating new Salesforce releases and providing relevant training and support
- Documenting processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables

- Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or five (5) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years in IT as a developer, consultant, business analyst or systems administrator
- 1+ years as a Salesforce Administrator; Certified Administrator or Developer a plus
- Experience creating documentation for requirements, design, test, and training
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and organize information, work independently and use good judgment
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others and display diplomatic and strong communication skills with colleagues and client stakeholders
- Self-manage and adapt to changing priorities as needed
- Adept with multiple software systems and willing to learn new products
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Salesforce Administrator Certification Preferred.
