Job Description:


COMPANY is seeking an API Quality Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our application programming interfaces (APIs). The API Quality Analyst will work closely with Business Analysts to review requirements for testability, develop testing strategies, and execute test plans.


Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to review requirements for testability.

  • Create QA/Testing work plans, including tasks, estimations, and dependencies, for small to medium-sized projects, with guidance from senior team members.

  • Write comprehensive test cases and test scripts.

  • Perform testing, assign defect severity, and manage defects throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide regular test status updates to the Senior QA Analyst and Project Manager.

  • Report to the Manager, Quality Assurance/Testing.

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical specifications for testability and participate in formal review sessions.

  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test scripts with input from Business Analysts, Senior QA Analysts, technical leads, and business subject matter experts. Schedule and lead test document review sessions.

  • Estimate testing activities for small to medium-sized projects and coordinate/control testing activities.

  • Routinely communicate test status to project managers, QA/Testing managers, and project teams.

  • Develop an understanding of the COMPANY business environment to ensure QA/Testing solutions align with business and application directions. Maintain knowledge of QA/Testing methodologies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with peers, vendors, and business stakeholders through effective communication.

  • Demonstrate technical influence by developing accurate and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

  • 4-6 years of QA/Testing experience.

  • Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision with some independent judgment.

  • US Citizenship Required
