Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Direct Hire - Full Time Position
Location: Metro Atlanta (Mainly remote, with some on-site meetings periodically)
Vaco is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing client located in the Metro-Atlanta area. The AP Specialist processes vendor transactions in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist works with Branch personnel and coordinates with vendors to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor various Accounts Payable inbox accounts for incoming invoices
- Process vendor invoices utilizing various accounting software systems
- Coordinate invoice processing with purchase orders and receipts
- Possess a thorough understanding of the company's chart of accounts for proper coding of vendor invoices
- New vendor profile creation
- Maintain vendor records for compliance, completeness, and accuracy
- Follow up as required to keep the invoice approval process timely
- Communicate with vendors to address vendor questions and resolve issues
- Reconcile vendor accounts as necessary
- Communicate vendor payment issues to leadership
- Periodically review the Accounts Payable Aging reports for items requiring action
- Reconcile the Accounts Payable Aging report to the General Ledger at month end
- Download vendor reports, sort and organize date in excel for review and coding
- Process 1099 reporting at year end
Qualifications- College Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with NetSuite, Vista, QuickBooks, or Sage ERP systems.
- Experience within Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - Intermediate)
- Experience within a multi-site environment working with branches is preferred.
