We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AP Manager to join our Accounting Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping our company scale from 500 million in current revenue to 1 billion. The ideal candidate will have previously transitioned a company from private to public or scaled with a previous organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the AP team, driving performance and process improvements.
- Implement new processes, workflows, and software to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee month-end closing tasks, reconcile vendor statements, and track credit card expenses.
- Manage the entry and reconciliation of invoices.
- Utilize expertise in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) to optimize processes and implement data-driven strategies.
- Foster a positive work environment as a cultural leader, with a true belief in mentoring and developing individuals.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an organization of 500 million or more.
- Proven experience in implementing new processes, workflows, and software.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing individuals.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization and data-driven strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in transitioning a company from private to public or scaling with a previous organization is highly desirable.
