ACCOUNTS PAYABLE LEAD

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Lead with expertise in purchase order (PO) and contract management. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive process improvements within the AP function. The AP Lead will oversee the end-to-end AP process, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and vendor agreements.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

  • Oversee the AP process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in purchase order (PO) and contract management.
  • Review, verify, and process invoices, matching them to POs and contracts.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure timely payments.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to AP.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Train and mentor junior AP team members.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a focus on PO and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of invoice processing, three-way matching, and AP best practices.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
