The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, reconciliations, and payments. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of AP experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and in a timely manner
Review, code, and match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Resolve discrepancies and communicate with internal departments and vendors
Prepare weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) and ensure appropriate approvals
Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
Reconcile vendor statements and assist with month-end closing activities
Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed
Collaborate with the accounting team on process improvements and efficiency
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a retail or product-based environment
Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (typically 2-3 days in office)
