Ansible Site Reliability Engineer and play a crucial role in advancing the Social Security Administration's (SSA) Digital Modernization Strategy. You will be integral in installing, maintaining, and ensuring the uptime of a next-generation DevSecOps platform that supports over 2,500 users and 200+ projects/products, positively impacting 65 million American lives each month.
This role requires expertise in Ansible Automation, Jira Administration, Confluence Administration, Linux Basics, and Availability Monitoring.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES - Build, maintain, automate, and ensure the reliability of the next-generation DevSecOps platform, applying system/software engineering best practices:
- Utilize tools such as Jenkins, Nexus Repository, Red Hat OpenShift, and Docker.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code with Ansible.
- Provide on-call support for the DevSecOps platform.
- Administer the platform, performing installations, migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting on Linux.
- Offer expertise in automation, security, monitoring, incident response optimization, and CI/CD tools.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure business continuity across various components.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at appropriate technical levels.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS - Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field (additional experience may compensate for education).
- 8+ years of experience in system administration of DevSecOps platforms, including CI/CD tools and security.
- 4+ years of experience with Ansible and Jira/Confluence administration.
- 2+ years in an on-call support role for mission-critical systems.
- Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE - Proficient in Ansible Automation, with hands-on experience creating and managing playbooks.
- Experience administering the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Strong Git version control skills including peer review of playbooks.
- Experience monitoring and triaging complex issues and outages.
- Automation skills with scripting languages like Shell or Python.
- Basic Linux support skills, especially in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD - Experience with Checkmarx or similar security tools.
- Basic Windows server administration skills.
- SQL experience for data manipulation tasks.
- Experience with artifact repositories and software quality scanning tools.
- Certifications in the Atlassian Suite.
- AWS cloud certifications and experience.
- Familiarity with PaaS using Kubernetes and Docker.

Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. This pay range is a guideline and may vary based on factors including responsibilities, experience, and market data.
