Job Opportunity: Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Join a dynamic team at a progressive healthcare facility in Mason City, Iowa, where you can make a real difference in patients' lives. We are seeking a Fellowship-trained Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our group of seven physicians and twelve CRNAs. Our facility provides Anesthesia coverage for both the hospital and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in North Central Iowa.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia coverage for a variety of procedures including cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neuro, ortho, pediatric, and OB.
- Oversee CRNAs and manage daily work assignments and call rotations.
- Cover cardiac surgeries with call duty from Monday to Thursday, along with six weekends and one holiday per year for general call.
- Assist with general cases if no cardiac cases are scheduled.
- Work with a Level 2 Trauma ER, although there is no pain clinic at the facility.
- Foster a growing hospital cardiac surgery program with an average of 1 cardiac surgery and 5-7 general cases per day.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology (within 3 years with plans to test).
- IA license or IMLC (or willing to obtain).
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiac Anesthesiology, with TEE certification required to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures.
- Iowa CSR is a must.
- Valid DEA number.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- COVID vaccinated.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology.
- IA license or IMLC (or willing to obtain).
- TEE Certified with the ability to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures.
- Iowa CSR is required.
- DEA Verbal Confirmation.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- COVID vaccinated.
