Job Opportunity: Physician - Anesthesiology

Join a well-established, hospital-employed group at a Level III trauma facility located in the scenic region of Coos Bay, Oregon. Our hospital is the largest on the Southern Coast with a catchment area of over 320,000 residents. This position offers a collaborative environment with a dedicated team of physicians and CRNAs. Experience a mixture of responsibilities while providing high-quality anesthesia care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and support to the Anesthesia Department.
  • Participate in a team comprising physicians and CRNAs, where CRNAs practice 100% independently.
  • Handle a variety of cases, excluding heads and hearts, with a focus on healthy pediatric patients.
  • Manage pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op care.
  • Participate in on-call duties, sharing call equitably among team members.
  • Oversee all types of anesthesia blocks and procedures.
  • Benefit from a full scope of services including cardiology, radiology, surgical care, and more.
  • Collaborate with Oregon Health and Sciences University for quality-focused initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology (REQUIRED).
  • Oregon medical license (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED).
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED).
  • Connection to Oregon, such as family ties or previous residency (REQUIRED).
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Oregon medical license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
