- This position will cover Cardiac surgeries and provide Cardiac call Monday Thursday. General Weekend call will be six weekends per year and one holiday per year. Call pay for Cardiac procedures Anesthesia performed in the hospital when on call. If no Cardiac cases are scheduled during the week, the provider will be assigned general cases.
- Practice Setting: Hospital based.
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac surgeries 1/day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases/day. Must help cover general if no cardiac cases.
- Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. Very sick children are sent to other hospitals better staffed/equipped for children.
- Number of Operating Rooms: 8 in use at one time

- IA license or IMLC (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Cardiac Fellowship and/or TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - NOT just the placement of the probe) to be completed prior to start - REQUIRED
- Iowa CSR - REQUIRED
- DEA Verbal Confirmation - REQUIRED
- BLS, ACLS, PALS - REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccinated - REQUIRED
