About the clinician's workday
This position requires working five 10-hour shifts per week and involves providing general anesthesia, intubation, IV placement, and occasional spinal or epidural anesthesia for post-operative pain. Procedures may also include arterial and central line placements. Non-operating room assignments may include interventional radiology, electrophysiology (excluding SVTs), and general or interventional endoscopy. There are always faculty anesthesiologists and a clinical director available for support. This role does not involve nerve blocks or obstetric anesthesia.
