A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
While on assignment in Brooklyn, New York you have to check out the Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island as your initiation into the city. There are plenty of shops filled with food and fun beverages in the city as well.
The position requires board certification in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Fellowship Training - proficiency in adult anesthesia, including regional techniques. It covers a diverse case mix, including pediatriac cases from neonates up, robotic surgery (GU, GS, Gyn), orthopedics, neurosurgery (intracranial and spine), ENT, bariatric, oral surgery, surgical oncology, trauma, OB (C-sections, epidurals), MRI/occasional IR or GI, vascular, thoracic, and plastics. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with no call, at a Level 1 Trauma facility handling general surgery, pediatrics, neuro, and vascular cases (excluding cardiac and transplants). Epic EMR is used, with responsibilities split 50% hands-on and 50% supervising (1:2 CRNA ratio) across 10 ORs, supported by a team of 16 physicians and 8 CRNAs.
