Are you an expert in Android internals with a passion for wireless connectivity and media streaming? A leading innovation-focused design house is seeking an experienced Android Wi-Fi & AOSP Engineer to work on cutting-edge Android device projects. This role centers on enhancing and debugging the Google Cast feature, with a focus on the Wi-Fi stack and middleware layers within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

What You'll Do
Dive deep into the AOSP Wi-Fi framework, working on layers above the driver level.
Integrate, debug, and optimize Google Cast functionality on Android-based devices.
Troubleshoot and enhance Wi-Fi performance, ensuring reliable media casting and stable connections.
Optimize network behavior for streaming, including Quality of Service (QoS), buffer handling, and channel selection.
Work with Android's Wi-Fi supplicant, handling encryption, authentication, and connection challenges.
Ensure compliance with Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2/WPA3) for secure device operation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performance, connected device solutions.
What You Bring
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
10+ years of Android development experience with a strong focus on Wi-Fi and middleware.
Deep knowledge of AOSP, particularly the networking and Wi-Fi subsystems.
Proven expertise in debugging complex issues within the Android networking stack.
Strong understanding of Android Networking APIs and Wi-Fi supplicant architecture.
Experience with tools like Wireshark for network diagnostics.
Proficiency in C , Java, and/or Kotlin.
Familiarity with casting technologies such as Google Cast, Miracast, Airplay, or DLNA is a plus.
