An IHS facility is seeking an anatomic/clinical pathologist for locum tenens coverage.
Don't let the heat get to you while on assignment in Phoenix, Arizona and head to one of the way water resort pools and parks available in the city for all ages. On your time off make sure to head to restaurants like Artizen, Bevvy Uptown, or The Henry.
This position involves handling 7-10 cases per day, primarily cervical and GI, along with occasional cases for toes, gallbladder, appendix, and dermatology. Grossing is required 2-3 times per week, with each session lasting 1-2 hours. Frozen sections are rarely required, about 2-3 times per year, and the locum is not expected to cut their own frozen sections. The clinician must have extensive experience reading pap smear slides and have recently taken the yearly exam.
