About the clinician's workday
The position runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 1:5 call schedule that is primarily telephone-based and rarely requires coming in. The surgical volume is approximately 14,000 cases annually, including pap smears, cytology of body fluids, frozen sections, and fine needle aspiration adequacy evaluations. There are no autopsies, as those, along with medical kidney, bone marrow, and muscle cases, are sent out. The role includes participation in tumor boards and handling urgent frozens and emergent transfusion cases, with AP/CP call responsibilities. Annual volumes include approximately 500 FNAs, 6,146 GYN cases, and 1,300 non-GYN cases. The facility uses EPIC with Dragon Dictation, and credentialing takes about 30 days. Candidates must be board-certified, have a clean background, and preferably hold or be open to obtaining a North Dakota license.
