Overview

The Analytics Partner will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between data technology and business needs. This individual must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at wearing multiple hats, and proficient in working directly with end users. Responsibilities include user training, data warehousing, and the development of top-tier reporting solutions. The ideal candidate is experienced with the Snowflake, Dataiku, and Power BI stack.

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate must demonstrate solid project management capabilities, including scoping use cases, defining timelines, setting milestones, and tracking progress to ensure successful and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Utilize Dataiku for data integration, transformation, and analysis, as well as coaching users to perform these tasks independently.
  • Develop business intelligence dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Train and support end users on the effective use of data tools and technologies.
  • Embrace ambiguity and take initiative to identify and solve complex data-related problems.
  • Lead the scoping of analytics use cases by defining goals, requirements, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Establish and manage project plans including key milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and resolving blockers or risks to delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding of data and reporting needs.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance practices and ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and methods to enhance enterprise analytics capabilities.
  • Work as a key member of the Analytics CoE to establish standards and best practices for enterprise analytics development via the federated model within ALS.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor' degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar analytics or data-focused role.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience managing analytics or data-related projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with data processing and analytics tools (Dataiku, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Strong skills in building advanced dashboards and reports with Power BI (or similar tools such as Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and embrace complex, ambiguous tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in training and supporting end users.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
  • Experience with data governance and management practices.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel domestically as needed, no more than 10% of the time
