Position Summary:

As an Analytics Engineer II, you will take on an independent role within the Analytics and Data Services team, working to design and develop scalable data models and pipelines that support the company's growing data needs. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, develop efficient data transformations, and support self-service analytics. Your focus will be on creating solutions that are scalable, reliable, and meet business objectives.

As an Analytics Engineer III, you will play a critical role within the Analytics and Data Services team, designing and architecting advanced data models and systems that drive business insights. You will be responsible for building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, ensuring data governance, and developing analytics solutions that meet the company's strategic goals. This role involves leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data products.
Role and Responsibilities:

Analytics Engineer III (if hired) will have the same duties listed below in addition to the following:
  • Leads strategic data architecture design
  • Implements automation for data quality and integrity
  • Drives technology innovation and evaluation
  • Mentors team members and leads initiatives
  • Design, develop, and optimize data models and ETL/ELT pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics use cases
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide solutions that improve decision-making processes
  • Monitor data pipelines for performance, reliability, and accuracy; troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Implement and enforce data quality standards and governance practices across data models
  • Contribute to the enhancement of BI tools, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities
  • Create technical documentation for data models and processes, ensuring transparency and understanding for future maintenance
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Level II
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications in data analysis or data governance (e.g., CDMP, CBIP) are a plus.
  • Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, both transactional and analytical. Familiarity with BI tools (Sigma, Power BI, Tableau) and creating reports and dashboards
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Level III
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications in data analysis or data governance (e.g., CDMP, CBIP) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and analytics best practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark). Proven experience in designing and deploying complex data architectures in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Experience with large-scale data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and streaming data systems.
