Kroll's Valuation Digital Solutions team seeks to empower companies and finance professionals with high-quality valuation data that enables them to make sound business decisions. Our group develops cost of capital and valuation data for use in valuation models, and distributes this information globally on our online application, the Cost of Capital Navigator. Members of the Valuation Digital Solutions group are renowned thought leaders in U.S. and international valuation theory, cost of capital, and digital solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in developing and updating cost of capital and valuation data models and analyses in Excel (e.g., equity risk premia, risk-free rates, size premium, industry risk premium, betas, industry multiples, country risk premium and other statistics, etc.) that is distributed globally in the Cost of Capital Navigator application.
  • Assist in the expansion and maintenance of our digital products. Tasks will include creating data visualizations, product management, quality assurance testing, brainstorming new features and enhancements, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell, and competitive research.
  • Research and monitor economic, financial, and political developments that support our country risk assessments.
  • Assist in the creation of content to be used in webinars, conferences, infographics, and other external-facing thought leadership and marketing materials.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Currently pursuing (expected graduation by Spring 2025) or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and Management or Engineering (with a minimum of four Junior and/or Senior level courses in Accounting, Economics or Finance) or Masters in Finance from an accredited college or university. Concentration or minor in Data Analysis or Data Analytics is a plus.
  • Candidates who graduated within the last two years and have relevant work experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid environment, with the ability to work remotely and the requirement to come into our Chicago or Toronto office on an ad hoc basis.
  • Major GPA of 3.0.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel). Basic SQL and/or exposure to data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate clearly (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments simultaneously, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
  • Commitment to obtaining outstanding results.
  • Ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future if planning to be based in the Chicago office. Likewise, applicants must be authorized to work in Canada, if planning to be based in the Toronto office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with diverse teams is preferred.
