What you'll need to succeed as an Analyst, Information Security at XPO

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of experience in information security or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
  • Professional certification in the information security field, e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with administrative processes
  • Understanding of information security, IT systems and networking concepts
  • Strong data analysis skills, including querying and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with people in remote locations
  • Strong project management skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Implement and execute appropriate standardized procedures to ensure the security of systems and data, including credential audits and system monitoring
  • Monitor IT systems, report suspicious events and take appropriate action to resolve security issues
  • Audit system and application configuration and activity; complete forms and update databases to track activity
  • Provide second-tier support to the support center; resolve assigned tickets within service levels and update information in the ticketing system to appropriately describe ticket resolution; escalate issues that cannot be resolved through normal activities
  • Participate in implementing, executing and testing information security processes; use observation and initiative to identify potential security vulnerabilities and risks
  • Assess security and business impacts of potential events or conditions; assist with the implementation of information security solutions
  • Participate in designing and conducting information security training and raising awareness of programs; conduct team activities following established department guidelines and standard tools such as IT service management (ISO 20000), work and project management (PRINCE2), information security, etc.
