Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Analog Power Design Engineer position that just opened in McLeansville, NC. In this role, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related plus a minimum of 5 years of experience. Location: McLeansville, NC
Position: Analog Power Design Engineer
Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct/permanent
Pay: $54/hour+ DOE

As an Analog Power Design Engineer for Undersea Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: -Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
-High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
-High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology What sets you apart:
-Expert level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
-Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
-Circuit Design expertise
-Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
-Feedback / Control systems experience
-Power System architecture and grounding
-Isolated Switching Converters
-Transmission Line Effects in power systems
-EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
-Magnetics Design and High Speed Design experience are desirable
-Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
-The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
-Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
-Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
-Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design
-Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
