Analog Design Engineer

Type: Direct Hire

Location: Bay Area



This position pays between $125,000 and $150,000.


Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A commission plan, sign-on payment, and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered by our client.


Job Description / Required:

  • Design experience is a must - sr. level, strong analog background.
  • Responsible for board bring-up.
  • Design, Test, Troubleshoot to all levels such as circuit level, board level, systems level, etc. could all be part of this role.
  • Competency in circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting of analog circuits (op-amps, MOSFETs, ADCs and DACs) - All Must Have experience required.
  • Altium, Orcad, Eagle, etc tools experience will be considered.
  • Layout of Boards is important.
  • Good at hardware verification.
  • Understanding of power budget characterizations and measurements for portable and wearable systems from milliamps to microamps. (Wearables product experience is not required, but ability to design circuits for wearables is a major part of the job.)
  • Typical to design at 100 MHz+ range. Must be familiar with different power levels.
  • Advanced knowledge level on high-speed clocking and transceivers.
  • Some Power Supply designs/verification.
  • Work on a variety of industries' products.
  • BSEE preferred, plus 10-25 years experience.

Highly Desired but not necessarily required:

Can help lead projects through development.

  • Design of bio-signal data acquisition hardware.
  • Designing IEC 60601-1 compliant hardware.
  • Understanding of wireless transceivers and implementations thereof.
  • Knowledge of RF circuits and measurement techniques (any product lines).
  • Good at link budget calculations for RF.
  • Experience with EMC testing. (Understanding is important - radiation, propagation of signals, medium-low speeds, etc).
  • Medical Device background is highly desirable but not required.
  • Position offers a variety of opportunity to excel and grow.
