Position Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a prestigious law firm in California to find an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal in Century City. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, career-track litigation paralegal with substantial work experience in AmLaw 100 firms or specialized boutique law firms. This role is pivotal in leading large, complex litigation cases and providing guidance and mentorship to junior paralegals at the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough case management including file management, discovery, and trial activities.
  • Implement case calendaring systems to track filings and distribute information appropriately.
  • Utilize existing systems and procedures, or establish new ones, to organize and retrieve documents efficiently for attorneys on the case team.
  • Coordinate and oversee tasks of junior paralegals and support staff in large litigation matters from discovery through trial/arbitration.
  • Act as a liaison between case team attorneys and support staff to ensure paralegal services meet team expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures, implementing new systems as needed.
  • Interact with outside entities such as courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms to support firm activities.
  • Lead discovery and witness preparation support efforts.
  • Draft, review, and analyze routine legal documents; conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior paralegals regarding firm and litigation procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain effective working relationships to facilitate a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 firm or a specialized litigation practice firm.
  • Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.
  • Experience preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, and hearings.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents.
  • Strong ability to manage complex litigation cases.

Requirements

  • Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
