Job Description:
Provide prompt and courteous service to guests while maximizing guest satisfaction
Typical Work Conditions:
Market Kitchen and Bar
Equipment Used:
Trays, various dishes, glassware, flatware, sternos, chafing dishes, wine buckets and openers
Knowledge/Training:
- A minimum of 2 years of wait staff experience is REQUIRED
- Fluent English, read and write
- 2nd language helpful
- Knowledge of MICROS helpful
- Ability to work as a team
- Communicate effectively with others
Essential Tasks:
- Provide superior table service to the guest, while offering suggestions off the menu
- Clean and reset tables
- Upsell an item that generates revenue for the restaurant while satisfying the guest
- Complete all payment transactions per hotel policies and procedures
- Perform duties as per shift setup and cleanup
- If hostess is not available, seat guests
- Assist in replenishing buffet and cleaning buffet area
- Set up large parties
- Room service
- Pick up room service trays from floors 2-9
- Assist Club on 9 if needed
- Take reservations if needed
