Allegro Design Engineer

12+ Month W-2 Contract position in Chandler, AZ Pay: $60 to $80 per hour BOE Position ID: 2618 An excellent position with a large international defense / aerospace company Allegro Design Engineer Please apply ONLY if you have 5+ years of PWB design layout with Cadence Allegro We are looking for an experienced PWB designer to design/layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military/aerospace avionics and test applications. You must currently be a United States Citizen (government related work) Full time on site. A mixed work schedule (on-site plus remote) may be considered after a trial period. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position We can ONLY consider your application if you have: 5+ years recent PWB design layout experience with Cadence Allegro design tool suite; Experience with high density complex, multilayer boards (6-16 layers); Experience with layout of analog and digital circuits; Experience with layout/routing of high speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits such as SERDES, DDR3/DDR4 memory. Experience with rigid-flex; Ability to prepare artwork (ODB , Gerber) for fabrication of PWBs; Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management; Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications; AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Ability to acquire security clearance. DESIRED (not required) SKILLS: Experience with OrCad Layout and Mentor PADS or Xpedition tool suite Understanding of Printed Wiring Assembly manufacturing process; Experience with CAM350 and/or Valor DFM software tools.
