Job Description

Required Education

• Minimum of a 2-year associate's degree in electronic technology or equivalent years of related work experience

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in alarm system installation and/or servicing

• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously

• CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) experience and/or training in alarm systems

• Factory training and hands-on experience with various alarm control equipment, including Honeywell, Bosch, and DMP systems

Alarm Coordinator Overview

• This is an exciting opportunity for an Alarm Service/Installation Coordinator supporting burglary, fire alarm, and access systems for a major retail network.

• This position operates in a fast-paced call center environment, collaborating closely with subcontractors and internal teams to resolve service and installation issues.

• The role involves regular interaction with a Central Station Monitoring team to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the reliability of alarm systems.

• This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with various alarm technologies and contribute directly to the safety and security of retail operations.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure clear communication regarding intrusion and fire alarm systems

• Manage Smartsheet and share validation details with other departments

• Validate that intrusion and fire alarm systems are reporting over the correct phone lines

• Contact retail stores to perform technical troubleshooting and confirm alarm systems are connected to the correct phone extensions

• Program outbound dial parameters and ensure intrusion alarm panels accept remote program changes

• Communicate with alarm service companies via email and schedule maintenance as needed
