Join the Survivability team to design and develop survivable aircraft for the United States military. As a Engineer, you will analyze, model, and optimize radar signature characteristics of various platforms and materials, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements. You will utilize advanced electromagnetic simulation tools and measurement techniques, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to minimize radar visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize, plan, and manage new aircraft RF Signature and antenna integration activities within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Perform RF or Radar Cross-Section signature analysis using computational software tools such as X-Patch, Carlos, SWITCH, SENTRi, or other frequency-domain RF codes.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate RF signature reduction design features, including aircraft shape and special materials.
• Conduct antenna integration performance and CoSite analyses to support communication and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) optimization using tools like WIPL-D, HFSS, CST MWS, or Feko.
• Support new aircraft and technology development, including proprietary analytical tools and applications.
• Work with Bell Engineers, US government experts, and ASE suppliers to integrate Radar Warning and RF Counter-Measure systems.
• Present design and analysis results to internal and external audiences.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience meshing target models and modifying outer mold lines to achieve RF requirements.
• Experience in RF analytical studies predicting Radar Cross-Section and integrated antenna performance.
• Proficiency in RF testing and RF material integration.
• Excellent communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and leaders.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering, with a strong background in electromagnetic theory, radar engineering, and applied mathematics.
• Proficiency in tools such as Xpatch or similar electromagnetic predictive software.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Magnetic (EM) Fields Technology; advanced degrees considered as additional experience.
• Must have SECRET level security clearance.
