Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
o3-5+ years of experience in precision assembly
o Experience drilling and preparing close tolerance holes for structural assembly and fastener installation
o Ability to document and maintain accurate records, strict procedural compliance, as well as read drawings and prints
o Ability to use standard tools and basic fabrication equipment
o Experience assembling and troubleshooting aerospace, military hardware, or other related fields
o Demonstrated ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment
o Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
o Work Monday -Thursday, 10 hour shifts (5AM- 3:30PM) with potential for overtime requests
o Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
o Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Must be physically able to:
oClimb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas
oLift and carry 25 lbs
Desired:
oExperience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration
o5+ years' experience in aerospace or related fields
oA&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration
oFamiliarity with pressurized system safety for pneumatic and hydraulic systems
oExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
oExperience with 3D measurement tools and Spatial analyzer/Verisurf software
oWorking knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including hydrogen peroxide, RP, and cryogenics
oKnowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
