In this pivotal role, as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager at our client, you'll oversee all maintenance activities within a Part 145 Repair Station, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and inspectors, optimize workflow, and uphold safety and quality standards in aircraft maintenance and repair operations. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of A&P mechanics and support personnel.
  • Hire, train, and assess team members for continuous professional growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide staff guidance.
  • Plan and manage maintenance activities to ensure FAA compliance.
  • Implement schedules and optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate and enhance safety-focused maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Inspector on quality control.
  • Oversee inventory and procurement of parts and supplies.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Address aircraft incidents and discrepancies with solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance practices.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking software.
  • Commitment to safety and quality in operations.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role (Part 145 preferred).
  • Experience with Gulfstream aircraft is a plus.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and resource management preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, perform agile tasks, and work in various conditions.
