Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Engine Field Technician to support our aviation customers and aircraft manufacturers. This role is based within a 2-hour drive of Teterboro, NJ or Bradley International Airport (Windsor Locks, CT) and involves traveling domestically and internationally to maintain, inspect, and repair aircraft engines.
As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance services in the field. Candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, passing a required eye exam, and traveling extensively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work scope instructions provided by Maintenance Operations Control
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble engines and modules
- Troubleshoot defects in engine components and systems
- Use engine data tools and materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC
- Interpret Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives, and Technical Variances
- Maintain eligibility for repair station inspection approval
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance/repair/overhaul OR
- Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
- Ability to pass FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screening (testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (due to FAA requirements)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with gas turbine engines
- Familiarity with engine or aircraft logbooks
- Previous experience in FAR145 repair stations
- Prior customer-facing or field service experience
- Ability to work in a lead capacity
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
