Air Quality Engineer / Scientist
Location: Austin, Texas
Full-Time Hybrid Work Environment A well-established environmental consulting firm is seeking a motivated Air Quality Engineer or Scientist to join its growing team in Austin, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to support a variety of air quality permitting, compliance, and dispersion modeling projects across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities

•  Prepare permit applications for New Source Review (NSR) and Title V air permits.
•  Conduct emission calculations for various industrial and commercial operations.
•  Develop emission inventories for regulatory reporting and compliance.
•  Assist in creating recordkeeping tools and systems.
•  Support Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analyses.
•  Perform regulatory applicability reviews at the local, state, and federal levels.
•  Collaborate with team members and contribute to project execution as needed.

Required Qualifications

•  3-5 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance.
•  Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a related field.
•  Solid understanding of air quality regulations and permitting processes.
•  Strong technical and analytical skills.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.
•  Excellent communication and time management abilities.
•  Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

•  1-3 years of experience managing projects or tasks.
•  Familiarity with air dispersion modeling tools (e.g., AERMOD, ISC-PRIME).
•  Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or a clear path toward licensure.
•  Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field.
