As
AI Software Engineer , you will work on initiatives across the entire business; initiatives range from our complex global operation to the digital customer experience. We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing solutions for real-world, large-scale problems using Artificial Intelligence techniques including Generative AI, deep learning, machine learning, reinforecement learning, and CNNs.
What would you do? - Grow Delta's useof AI within customer and employee facing experiences
- Partner withcross functional business and technology teams to understand business landscapeand drive AI opportunities.
- Provide technicalthought-leadership and direction for AI solutions across a wide rangeof centralized and distributed environments across the Delta landscape.
- Partner withArchitecture, Foundations, and Security teams to pave the way for Deltaleverage industrialized design patterns
- Help to define,design and capture data required for measurement of each solution
- Collaboratefrequently to share ideas and gain perspective. Communicates criticalinformation in a clear and timely manner. Listens to others. Seeksclarification and confirms shared understanding when communicating.
- Delivering withQuality and Speed
- Collaborate withbusiness and product owners, understanding the product and business domain toengineer solutions that create a competitive advantage
- Work within ateam of engineers and cross-divisionally to design and build ArtificialIntelligence into technical solutions at scale
- Contribute to thestrategy around which frameworks and technologies are leveraged with eachsolution, and partner with the foundations teams to approve new design patterns
- Look upstream anddownstream to see around corners and anticipate future consequences forimmediate technical choices
- Document andcommunicate solutions with effective documentation, flowcharts, layouts,diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
- Design, Develop,Monitor, and scale AI components, APIs, and loosely coupled applications andintegrate these with highly available channels and systems
- Incorporatesecurity standards, test-driven development, and pipeline deployment automationto achieve robust reliability and scale
- Mentor juniorteam-mates to define and implement detailed measurement data, errorlogging/tracking for all products within our domain
- Initiate and leadcode reviews and continuous improvement efforts
- Analysis andimplementation of Performance/Stability/Reliability initiatives
- Monitors metrics,problems, trends, and costs, in order to determine solutions, required processchanges, etc. that will make the function more efficient
- Plan, create, andexecute automated test cases and load/performance testing
- Operate withAgile and Cloud Target squads within two-week sprints
- Own and supportwhat you build
- Production issuetriage, management, and prevention with a focus on continuous improvement
- Develop an AIfirst mindset and help democratize AI for Delta
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- 5+ years of workexperience in Software Engineering
- 3+ years ofwork/educational experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
- Experience withAgile Software Development Lifecycles and DevOps/DevSecOps
- Developmentexperience on AWS, AWS Sagemaker required
- Experience withone or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, R, Scala, Spark
- Experience withone or more of the following: Natural Language Processing, sentiment analysis,classification, pattern recognition .
- Developmentexperience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow , Microsoft CNTK, scikit,Keras , Caffe, Gluon, Torch.
- Familiarity with GenAI technology stack, including frameworksfor prompt engineering, guardrails for GenAI applications, and LLM fine-tuning
- Experience working with VectorDBs and other data infrastructurerequired to efficiently support Generative AI training pipelines and productionapplications
- Experience training and maintaining large language models
- Experience with production-gradedevelopment, integration and support
- Experience andfamiliarity presenting to technical and business audiences
- Position is hybrid in Atlanta

- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
