AI with Computer Vision Engineer Location: Glasgow

Are you a high-performing AI / Computer Vision Engineer? FPSG offers an exciting opportunity to join our client's computer vision team in Glasgow, where they invest heavily in advanced technology research to deliver exceptional solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI algorithms onto hardware platforms.
  2. Developing and optimizing AI models for imaging and video understanding applications.
  3. Defining inputs and outputs in collaboration with engineering teams for API development.
  4. Implementing and maintaining code in C and Python.
  5. Utilizing OpenVINO and OpenCV for AI model deployment and optimization.
  6. Maintaining version control of all modules.
  7. Benchmarking and optimizing performance for efficient hardware inference.
  8. Staying updated with AI and computer vision advancements to foster continuous improvement.
  9. Understanding environmental performance constraints and testing models within those constraints.
  10. Following agile development practices, including daily stand-ups and sprints.
  11. Documenting all work and decisions thoroughly.
Required experience includes:
  1. Strong knowledge of AI and deep learning techniques, with practical experience in Computer Vision models.
  2. Advanced skills in C and Python programming.
  3. Proficiency with OpenVINO and/or OpenCV for deployment and optimization.
  4. Experience with GPU programming and parallel computing is a plus.
  5. Ability to work effectively with video, image, and data streams.
  6. Understanding of image processing and computer vision fundamentals.
  7. Practical experience with machine learning algorithms.
  8. Educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; a PhD in Image Processing or Machine Learning is highly valued.
Additional notes:

Typically, the role involves hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Glasgow office to promote collaboration and growth. Applicants should be within a commutable distance to Glasgow.

Security clearance will be required due to sensitive data handling. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available.
