We are a leading hospitality venue in Long Beach is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team leadership in a high-volume environment. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, manage COGS, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure a high standard of service, cleanliness, and venue quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily floor operations to ensure service quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory controls, vendor orders, and COGS reporting and analysis to achieve budget goals.
  • Create staff schedules, oversee payroll tracking, and optimize labor cost efficiency.
  • Enforce compliance with labor laws, liquor regulations, health codes, and internal policies.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, staff training, and employee development initiatives.
  • Provide active, hands-on leadership during peak hours and private events.
  • Maintain facility appearance, cleanliness, and operational functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Management experience in high-volume restaurants, bars, or event venues required.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and operational management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems preferred.
  • California Food Handler Card, ServSafe Manager Certification, and RBS Certification (or ability to obtain post-hire).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
